AFC or America’s First Choice Home Club is a Georgia-based home warranty company with a BBB accreditation that offers flexible and affordable plans. They have a large contractor network and on top of providing all the features that are standard for the home warranty industry, also offer certain lifestyle benefits, such as retail and restaurant benefits for a number of stores and dining establishments, as well as Emergency Alert Network membership. They also have one of the nation’s highest annual claim limits.

Coverage
The Silver plan is more extensive and covers most of the standard home appliances found in every household: washer and dryer, refrigerator, water heater, oven, range, stove, cooktop, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and garage door opener.
The most complete and, therefore, the most expensive plan is Gold, which covers all the systems and appliances listed under Bronze and Silver plans, plus electrical systems (all interior wiring, circuit boards, and breakers, etc.), gas, plumbing systems (toilets, whirlpool baths, interior piping, and stoppages), ductwork, and telephone wires.
Optional items, such as double ovens, pool/spa equipment, sump pumps, well pumps, central vacuums, stand-alone freezers, septic systems and second refrigerator, are also available.
All three plans also come with retail buyers rebate (which can be used for Target, Home Depot, Macy’s, Staples, Best Buy and Bed, Bath and Beyond, among others), Restaurant.com gift cards (a $25 gift certificate each month), and Emergency Alert Network membership.
The prices depend on your location and some other factors, but the AFC website offers to calculate your quote for free, so you can get an idea of how much a home warranty plan of your choice might cost.
The annual claims limit is $7,500, which is perhaps the highest in the home warranty industry. There is a $60 service fee, which is average.
Terms and Conditions
AFC Home Club does not require a home inspection prior to signing a contract with you and the age of your systems and appliances does not matter, as long as they have not been misused or improperly installed.
However, for more detailed terms and conditions, all customers are strongly advised to read the actual terms and conditions which are included in the contract prior to signing. Another way to get this kind of information is to contact a customer service representative. While the contract and the customer support staff are very clear and transparent, we wish AFC would include their terms and conditions on their website.
