User reviews of West Virginia home warranty companies

  • Submitted By Tom Murray, Huntington, Choice Home Warranty

I made three claims in the last 7 months and two of my claims got denied! I feel like an idiot who signed up to be ripped off.

My wife bought a home warranty so she wouldn’t have to wait for me to try and fix home appliances. At first I thought that it was a waste of money, but First American is a really good company. We called them just once for a broken AC and they came the next day, fixed the problem in 20 minutes, and that was that, the fridge works great.

I contacted 365 a few weeks ago because my garbage disposal started making some funny noises and I honestly didn’t know how to fix it on my own. So, I called customer support, they told me a contract would soon contact me to arrange everything. A guy called me after three days, which wasn’t a huge problem because I didn’t have an emergency in the house but I would freak out if something serious happened and they ignored me for like 72 hours! When he finally came, and he was 45 minutes late, he acted like he was pretty bored to be there. Well, I can’t complain too much because he fixed the disposal really quickly and even cleaned the mess that was left behind. I now feel kinda sorry that I was a bit rude toward him, but on the other hand, I want to get the best service for the money I pay them!
