User reviews of Minnesota home warranty companies

  • Submitted By Benjamin Williams, Maple Grove, TotalProtect

I signed a contract with Total Protect last year because my wife insisted. After an annoying and long discussion, I agreed. Three months passed and the air-conditioner broke. We called Total Protect and I seriously expected nothing. However, I was wrong. A technician came the next day and fixed the problem in less than an hour. I had to admit I was wrong. Then, a month later, the dishwasher also failed and this time we filed a claim online. It took a bit longer to get a response, but two days later another technician came and fixed the issue. My wife was right, I have to admit it.

I’m very content with Square Trade. At first, I just wanted to give it a try, so I took a warranty for my fridge only. During that first year, I realized that this is a serious company and I also covered my laptop, TV, and iPhone. Unlike other home warranties, this is the perfect solution for me.

I still don’t get the point of these companies, really! They charge you to “cover” your household and then you have to call someone else to fix broken stuff. THIEVES!!!
