User reviews of Delaware home warranty companies

  • Submitted By Gena Robinson, Wilmington, Choice Home Warranty

Choice Home Warranty is a company with some very honest, decent and hardworking contractors and polite customer service. Decent prices and quick, efficient service really make them stand out.

  • Submitted By Luke DiGiorgio, Dover, American Home Shield

I only had the Appliance plan with American Home Shield and never really used it, since nothing broke down. Then my water heater broke, and it wasn’t covered because they consider it a system, not an appliance, and it’s in a different plan. What I’m saying folks is that AHS is a decent company for home warranty just make sure to pick the right plan, not the wrong one, like me.

  • Submitted By Peter Vasquez, Middletown, Select Home Warranty

I have been working with Select Home Warranty for years. As an independent real estate agent in Delaware, I believe (and I saw it so many times with my own eyes) that having home warranty thrown in a deal really helps you sell more houses. People like to feel protected and insured and it just makes sense. They bring their appliances or simply use the ones that were in the house and naturally they want protection from malfunction and breakdown. Working with Select Home Warranty hasn’t always been easy, we had our share of arguments and even some small legal battles, but after a few years we got to know each other and now our collaboration is mutually fruitful.

  • Submitted By Mabel Morovitz, Milford, Warranty Direct

After having auto warranty from WD for years and making good use of it on several occasions, I decided to get home warranty too, for my appliances, from the same company. I sure do hope I made the right call since the plan I picked is not exactly cheap.
